Our Vision

Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the earth who flourish in scriptural holiness as we worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

At Mt. Zion Community Church we desire to surrender to and be fully devoted to one God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are passionate about what is important to God. Jesus calls those who follow Him to love God wholeheartedly and love their neighbors as themselves. Our desire is to demonstrate to our community and the world the extravagant love of God in the person of Jesus Christ. We have been entrusted with a lifesaving and transforming message that we must share with others. Our witness is bold, compelling and fearless. Our mission advances when individuals become disciples of Jesus Christ and join God’s mission to make more disciples.

Our Mission

Our mission is to Know Christ, the Son of the Living God, who invites us into a personal relationship of grace, truth, and salvation. As Paul declared, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings” (Philippians 3:10). We desire to Grow in Christ, being transformed daily by the renewing of our minds and shaped by the Holy Spirit into His likeness, so that our lives reflect His love and holiness — “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Compelled by His love, we then Go and Share Christ, living out His Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the good news of salvation and serving others in His name — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).

Together, this is our calling: to know Him personally, grow in Him spiritually, and go forth missionally — so that the world may see Christ in us and come to know His redeeming love.

Our Core Beliefs

At Mt Zion CC, we joyfully affirm the historic Christian faith as part of the Global Methodist Church. We are rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, and led by the Holy Spirit to make disciples who know Christ, grow in Christ, and go and share Christ with the world.

We believe in one eternal God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created all things and rules in love and holiness. God is our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
“Go therefore and make disciples… in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. Through His life, death on the cross, and resurrection, He defeated sin and death and offers salvation to all who believe. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” — John 3:16

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us — convicting, comforting, empowering, and transforming believers to live holy and faithful lives. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” — Acts 1:8

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and authoritative Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation and guiding us in faith and life. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

We believe all people are created in God’s image but separated from Him by sin. Salvation comes only through God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

We believe the Christian life is a journey of growing in holiness — loving God and neighbor more fully through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers. The Church exists to worship God, nurture disciples, and serve the world in Christ’s name. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27


We celebrate two sacraments ordained by Christ — Baptism and Holy Communion — outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. “Do this in remembrance of Me.” — Luke 22:19

We believe God calls us to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to spread scriptural holiness throughout the world. Our mission is to know Christ personally, grow in His likeness, and go and share His love in both word and deed. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” — Matthew 28:19
